San Antonio de Areco is an old town from the time of the aborigenes, the Spanish and the "gauchos". In this town we keep our tradition, developing typical handicrafts like the loom.

In Cristina Giordano's workshop we are still weaving in creole and pampa looms with techniques strongly identified with the history of San Antonio de Areco.

We make traditional weaven products and we also weave our own style goods.

In this place we exert our aborigene inheritance, we rebuilt our history and we enjoy interesting talks with our visitors.

You can see us working in the Pampa and the creole loom. There is a permanent exhibition of old ponchos and old belts, as well as current ones also work we comission.

Cristina Giordano,
a disciple of Miss Delia Guida O'Donnell, a creole weaver of San Antonio de Areco.
Cristina is also teacher and a remarkable textil researcher.

The first school of creole looms was created in l936 and it was run by Mrs Ramona Risso Patrón de Beristayn and her legacy is still among us.
